I’m addicted.
Rock Band.
I’ve had it since Christmas
The game ruined my life.
Haha, just kidding.
I have had it since Christmas, and honestly it’s all I ever do. If I’m not blogging, I’m playing Rock Band. It’s a nice recess from some of the horrors that occur around me from time to time, but that makes me wonder if it’s really ok to just run away from your problems and put them on hold.
Truthfully, that isn’t what I’m doing at all. It’s just a fun game, I like to sing, I love music, and I’m somewhat naturally competitive. What does that mean? I play the game until I perfect everything (and I’m still FAR from perfection) it’s really such a unique experience though, right now I’m doing a Band World Tour (by myself) so yeah, that means I’m playing guitar AND doing vocals. It’s quite fun, if you have Rock Band you should try it.
The thing about Rock Band, is it’s such a great social experience if you have people who aren’t uptight about it playing with you, everything’s always so exciting if no one’s afraid to look stupid and everyone just kinda rocks out. That’s what I do here in my bedroom haha, I sing and dance to my heart’s content. It’s kinda weird singing in front of others though, I definitely have to admit that. But that’s why you just work up some courage. I mean hey, I’m doing expert vocals now, I should be able to sing in public right? Too bad I’m convinced I don’t sound too great…I’m in pitch though, I’ll give myself that much.
Anyways, what does everyone else do in their free time? Personally, I think nature strolls and video games are the way to go, they are definitely the nicest most wonderful experiences ever as far as taking your mind into a different level goes. I think in different mindsets depending on what I do, so if I’m playing a game, I think one way and if I’m outside I think another, and oddly enough I enjoy both just as much…unless it’s hot or cold outside, but I generally don’t have the motivation to go on a stroll by myself, I have video games for that…I can stroll through virtual nature and attack monsters.
Back to that first question though, it’s definitely not alright to put your problems on hold, you have to solve them and actively deal with them as they come up. If you don’t, they’ll be there forever, and they’ll become stressful. A person can only run so far and so fast, and when your problems finally catch up with you, they will eat you alive. Perhaps that can be your thought for the day. Me though, I’m going to go play Rock Band some more.
P.S. Addictions are bad. Yes, even healthy and positive addictions. Just don’t let them control you.
P.P.S. I control Rock Band, not vice versa.
Perhaps I should get on Stickam and set up my webcam, expose my vocals and crazy acts to random strangers across the globe. Haha, that’s not nearly as awkward as the people I see every day.
