Rock Band Competition

Oh man, tonight…

Tonight was fucking amazing, you just really wouldn’t understand unless you were there.  Tonight I discovered that there is nothing that feels better than being on stage, having your friends cheer you on, having a good time with the people around you.

Putting yourself out there.

The competition was…epic, I’m not sure if I’ve been overusing the word in blogs, but I use it a lot in reference to Rock Band, because a lot of stuff about it just IS epic….

My vocals, Wesley’s drumming…It was truly amazing, after we both suffered minor injuries earlier in the day (his leg cramped up, and I kinda strained my vocal cords early when I was practicing and got a little too excited) but we were both fine by the time we played, my vocals weren’t quite on par with their normal expectations (I went all out, especially on Reptilia) they weren’t HORRIBLE.

What we performed was Welcome Home by Coheeed and Cambria and Reptilia.  I have to say that Reptilia was the more amazing of the two, and I’m pretty sure anyone would agree…Haha, my adrenaline during that song was a lot more than I ever imagined, I honestly SHOOK at one point, it was so exhilarating…

But you know what?  We came in third…

That was a bit of a bummer, (you’d understand if you were there) but oh my gosh, I have to say we enjoyed ourselves the most without a doubt….I can’t wait until next month, hopefully there will be an even bigger crowd…I am now ready to sing in front of anyone

My main complaint is it was so loud the microphone picked up all kinds of extra noise which makes it hard to keep your score up on higher difficulties.  But then again, at one point I was in the audience, of course it was loud…
