Apparently it got spam filtered. I just got curious and checked the spam today since I hadn't in a while. Anyways, the issue is now gone. I don't know what my problem was with a direct confrontation at the time. In fact, my problem was not even minding having someone around. The issue was he was not doing his job because he was busy sitting around distracting me (or the occasional coworker), and the entire workplace knew that. I think one of the biggest issues with a direct confrontation, in my mind, was the age difference between us. I'm 18, and this probably around mid to late 20's. I wasn't really intimidated by the person, didn't have reason to be. However, I figured the way the person would respond to direct confrontation would be in an angry and/or catty manner. I don't mind conflict if it's going to be people being real and rational. But if someone's going to be overwhelmed by their emotions in an isolated room, count me out. I deal with angry people every day, in public eye. Not an issue. Behind a closed door, no one there but me and that person, I will play my coward card and pass. Fortunately now, the person has been "let go" due to his lack of doing what he was supposed to. We (the staff) had some talks with the big boss, and it got done. I’m so sorry I never replied to this!
